As a Higher Education professional, I provide leadership, management, supervision and budgetary oversight for several student-facing departments and services, to help college students grow and succeed.

Who I am

I'm a first generation college student born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. My preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. I began my career in higher education in 2006. My adaptive leadership style allows me to think through complex problems, assess data, and work collaboratively to put ecosystems in place that foster student and institutional success. I love to learn and constantly pick up new skills.  I am known for focusing on the task at hand.

Former Campus Partnerships &
Collaborations

1.  MSI Student Success Summit

 

Chance to hear student stories, expert speakers, and join activities that focus on leadership, careers, student research, and teaching.  The Summit aims to convey our vision for student success and UNLV's role as a Minority-Serving, Hispanic-Serving, and Asian American, and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution.

2.  University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Public Safety Advisory Board.

 

Together, with student, community and campus leaders, organizations and stakeholders, the UPD Public Safety Advisory Board provides recommendations to Adam Garcia, Vice President for Public Safety Services & Director, University Police Services.

3.  CRCC Conference at Illinois State 

 

The Culturally Responsive Campus Community (CRCC) conference at Illinois State University works to actively recognize and rextify inequitable experiences, and create a more just campus for all.  It is the goal of CRCC to inform the campus and community about issues surrounding the intersectional issues surrounding marginalization and oppression.

4.  Minority-Serving Institution Student Services

 

The event aims to welcome incoming, first-year, and transfer students from diverse cultural backgrounds to the Illinois State University campus.  The Freshman Induction Ceremony is a new addition to Welcome Week, and will provide participants an opportunity to network with other students, faculty members, and cultural organizations.
